Law Enforcement in the USA
II. Caucasian Males and their So-called Silver Spoon Privilege
Apparently, lots of problems. Why are they stacking up in the U.S.? Why are people of color victimized by the police in the USA? It is not least because prejudices run unchecked, but that is only symptomatic of much deeper issues. We wish to prayerfully explore this subject somewhat in this study.
First, some generalities, then we shall turn our attention to specifics. Prejudices in the U.S. are a manifestation of Godlessness by a predominantly secular society that has lost its way. A predominantly secular society that is enamored by and infatuated with its proud and unholy modernity, which has become its god. There is only one Way, and that is God’s way, Jehovah God’s way, and that has been excised in the U.S. Consequentially, Godlessness has set its roots and multiplied, particularly since the end of World War II, in the home, in the institutions of learning, and in the workplace. Prejudices in the U.S. clearly predate the end of World War II, but in this study we are considering only the timeframe from the end of this war going forward. In its unregenerate state, that is, without rebirth of spirit by the Spirit of God, humankind is sinful and wicked, entirely given over to one of Satan’s most effective weapons of destruction, namely, prejudice. Godlessness in a society then clears the way for unchecked prejudices to run rampant.
Please allow us to continue with the generalities. One important and pertinent victim of this Godlessness in the U.S., in the negative, is Law Enforcement. When Jehovah and His ways became marginalized, and then steadily but surely excised, in the timeframe we are considering, His Law by default was excised as well. That Law, Jehovah’s Law, is the basis of all practical, efficacious Law. Why? Because His Law is holy—that is the salient difference between His Law and all other Law[1]. Law is tantamount to Holiness, and not just any law, God’s Law, God’s Holiness. But holiness is a burden and a nuisance, nay, a joke, to a secular society—such a society will pressure its leaders to fast rid it of the same. Inevitably these leaders will succumb to this pressure to stay in office, and of course not a few of these leaders are elected officials that are entirely committed to Godlessness themselves, and purpose in their heart to legislate Jehovah God out of the U.S. judicial system. Ironically, Jehovah’s Law was the excellent Law upon which the U.S. judicial system was founded, yet under tremendous pressure from a largely Godless, or at best agnostic populace, it largely ridded itself of Jehovah God’s Law. One need but visit some of the government buildings in Washington DC to be reminded of the biblical foundation of America’s justice system. Not long hence those reminders will be shown the exit too. The U.S. justice system is but a sham of its former, original self, precisely because Jehovah God is hardly found in its Law. Law in the U.S. is now a manifestation of a sort of strange mix of humanism, existentialism, and religious pluralism to keep everybody happy, and is based on human estimations of moral values and ethics and civilized behavior; God’s mandates for holiness are largely missing in the U.S. judicial system as we realize it today. When a nation does that, excise God that is, particularly in its justice system, to thus remove God’s Law, woe, and double woe, it writes its own epitaph in lockstep with the handwriting on the wall:
‘…here lies a Godless nation that once thrived in God’s blessings owing to its love for God and attendant obedience to His Law, but became diseased and sick, and died, from the inside out, when it abandoned God, its first love....’.
A few more generalities. Jehovah God’s Law has been removed by the U.S. government in keeping with its Godlessness; we need not cite all the Godless “replacement laws”, there are too many. That is precisely why the U.S. is in deep waters here—and not just regarding its Law Enforcement institution—and is fast sinking. The people employed in Law Enforcement are trained to follow a Godless set of rules that cannot work correctly, because God’s Law, His holiness, is missing in those rules. So much for generalities, yet at the deepest level this generality is primal and causal as concerns our subject. Let us move on to some specifics.
There is a race gap and a gender gap in America’s police departments. According to DataUSA, as of 2018, 65.5% of police officers in the U.S. were Non-Hispanic Whites. The next most common ethnicity was Non-Hispanic Blacks, at 12.8%. And 85.3% of police officers were male. Besides what has already been mentioned in the generalities section, we hold that therein lies the problem in the U.S.: it is certain White males, born into so-called privileged environs and its attendant prejudices, consistent with a Godless culture and largely self-deified, cold populace that understands not Agape Love, that cannot see too much beyond itself and its immediate pleasures, that is causing the preponderance of the problems. Too many of these White males are out of touch with the reality of the hardships that the marginalized, oftentimes poor people of color deal with daily. And there is a huge cultural gap here, a vast misunderstanding of personhood, there is missing a working “feel for the heart and soul” of a person of color, “what makes them tick” is not appreciated and oftentimes completely misread by the White male cop—it is a manifestation of the missing holiness training suggested above . There needs to be training and enlightening in that area bigtime. And of course, age plays a role here too—the average age of these White males was approximately forty years of age.
America’s police departments pay a lot of lip service to non-discriminatory hiring practices, and oftentimes the larger metropolitan centers in the U.S. will appoint a Black police chief for example, who is no more than a puppet that dares not perturb his predominantly White staff—a “lame duck” so to speak, a puppet. It is the White majority that is really the chief, that bands together in a tight solidarity mafioso style. Improprieties are kept in house, and none in the “choir boy” circle will “rat” on a “brother.” These so-called choir boys are a dangerous, dangerous lot, and every police department in the U.S. has such a circle that takes care of itself as it were. To not be in that clique can be very dangerous for the good cops that wish to distance themselves from these tightly banded devils. It is a given that the maniac cops that are rather indiscriminately shooting people of color these days are precisely such devils that belong to such choir boy cliques. And in these days of instant communication via the internet these cliques find and support each other across the country. “Shoot first, ask questions later,” is their secret charter, their mindset, it is their bible. Too often their lives are not really in danger at all, they just shoot anyway and need not much reason to do so to satisfy their hateful prejudices. And as the incidents proliferate and the accusations against them proliferate and gain intensity, these White devils band together in ever tighter solidarity, with not the slightest intention of making any changes, just the opposite in fact—it is Satan’s vehicles of hate and prejudice at work here in these human stooges that do his bidding. It need not be pointed out that with Satan thus in the mix together with a nation that trends ever more Godlessly, the chance for remediation of said problems is slim to none save a miracle of national revival.
There is a lot of talk about defunding police departments in the U.S., but that is not good talk; we all know we need our police—in fact they are God-instituted (Romans 13); it is not our call to make, it is His. So, what to do? The solution is maybe not too hard to figure out, but hard to implement maybe—balance out the racial gap—from the bottom to the top in a given police department. If some consider the problem to be serious enough to talk about defunding the police, well, it ought not be that hard comparatively to just “clean the house” and get rid of these bad White boys. Surely most of the police departments in the U.S. know precisely who the devils are in their ranks. It is too drastic, but an interesting thought experiment—we hold that if 50% of the White males in the police departments were flat let go, and straightaway replaced with qualified people of color, or the marginalized poor who see crime around them all the day long, and/or females in those jobs that they could handle physically, America’s Law Enforcement would be much, much better off and, importantly, so would the citizenry in the U.S. Finding sufficient numbers of qualified people in the smaller communities might be a challenge, maybe, maybe not.
Nevertheless, returning to generalities a bit, if the U.S. continues in its Godlessness, nothing will fix its current Law Enforcement woes; in fact, this problem will but prove to be the first fruits in a wider lawlessness that all Christians know full well is coming anyway—things are tracking just like Scripture said they would. Arrogant and thoroughly Godless contemporary America is not in Scripture as far as we can tell, so it is impossible to predict what the future holds, but given the goings on around us, she may well crumble from the inside out in the not too distant future. A nation cannot survive for long when its Law Enforcement breaks down. A nation cannot survive without Jehovah God at the helm.
Christ bless you Christian friend. May Jehovah God and His blessed Messiah Jesus be praised and cherished in the U.S. and all the world over. Amen.
