A Psalm for Remembrance (1Corinthians 11:23-26)
Lord Jesus,
You took the bread in Your hands,
broke it,
and gave it to us with a single, tender command:
“…do this in remembrance of Me…”
So I plant this little forget-me-not day lily,
where my feet pass often,
where morning light finds it,
where evening shadows rest around it.
A small flame of color,
a quiet witness,
a gentle reminder.
Each time I see it,
let my heart lift toward You —
not in long prayers,
but in simple gratitude:
for Your precious body given,
for Your precious blood poured out,
for Your precious love that does not forget—
even those of us who forget so easily.
Let this lily be my “forget‑Me‑not,”
a living sign that Your mercy blooms new every morning,
and that remembrance is not a burden,
…but a gift.
My Lord,
keep Yourself before my eyes,
as You Yourself asked of me,
and keep my heart near Yours,
as I walk by this little flower and remember,
what precious things You have sacrificed for me.
Thank You Lord Jesus, Amen.
